Parties are a longstanding tradition in Emerald Bay. Members are invited to sponsor private parties held at the clubhouse. Each party has a theme and the theme will dictate optional attire. Examples are brunches, coffees, Christmas Cocktail, Tailgate, Halloween, Mardi Gras, Texas, and country theme parties, and so many more. This party tradition saves you cleaning before and after, preparing and serving food, providing entertainment for a lower cost than having a party in your home.  Additionally, you get to meet and see more people.

Each host invites a certain number of people. The organizer sets the parameters of how many guests each host may invite. Hosts gather to submit their invitees’ names to avoid duplications. Tasks are assigned and the cost (decorations, food, bands or DJs, liquid refreshment) of the party is split equally between the sponsors and that amount is billed to the host's member account bill which is sent out at the end of month.

Not everyone is invited to all the parties.  As you meet people and participate in hosting parties, you are more likely to be invited to other parties. Seating at parties, whether reserved or otherwise, is determined by host/hostesses.

Please note that all parties require an RSVP in the form of “regrets only.” Sending your regret by the deadline in a timely manner avoids your host or hostesses from unnecessary expense.  Only those listed on the invitation list are invited, so please don’t bring additional guests.

“Appropriate attire” is required by all members, families and guests in all facilities offered by the club. Presentable clothing shall be clean and in good condition and not offensive to other members of the club. Casual dress does NOT include cutoffs, tank tops, halter-tops, midriffs, short-shorts, swim suits, fleeced or cotton athletic sweat suits, sweat pants, or scrubs. Shoes or appropriate footwear shall be worn at all times in and around the club, except in the immediate swimming pool area. Changing clothing in the parking lot is not permitted, with the exception of shoes.

Members shall be responsible for ensuring that their guests will be properly attired. Management reserves the right to decide what appropriate attire is and has the authority to ask anyone to leave the club if deemed improperly dressed.
