The Women’s Club is open to
all women members of Emerald Bay. The Women’s
Club meets on the second Wednesday of each
month, September through May, at 11:00 A.M. with
a short business meeting followed by a program
of current interest and lunch. Each year the
Emerald Bay Women’s Club sponsors one fundraiser
used by the Ways and Means Committee to support
the Benevolence Fund. The Benevolence Committee
works all year to identify needs in the area and
respond to those needs. A gala evening
punctuated by both silent and live auctions has
been a popular event for the past several years.

| Mah Jongg, the ancient of tiles, engenders
hot competition in the Emerald Bay community.
Large numbers of groups, comprised of four or five
ladies play in
the West Room each Tuesday, Wednesday and
Thursday. Mah Jongg theme luncheons sponsored by
several players are a favorite way to spend an
afternoon. |
| The Emerald Bay Bosom Buddies group is open
to all area breast cancer survivors and their
caretakers. Come expecting not a pity party, but
a joyful sisterhood who will welcome you into
their compassionate, confidential and caring
arms. |

A large group of
vivacious and fun loving women, the local
chapter of Red Hats (aka: The EMBERS - Emerald

dress and a desire to have fun.

Experienced local artists
and aspiring neophytes meet each Monday at the
Emerald Bay Community Church. A small intimate
group, these artists work in pastels,
watercolors, oils, and acrylics. Constructive
critique and active support is shared for a true
learning and artistically growing experience.

Organized bridge groups, both duplicate and
party, are great favorites at Emerald Bay.
Spirited play takes place on Wednesday nights in
the West Room with large attendance. Small
neighborhood couples and ladies bridge groups
are found in abundance. If bridge is your thing,
you’ve come to the right place. Thursday nights
find the “42” players laughing and conniving at
the clubhouse.

Energetic and talented, Emerald Bay Cloggers
boasts a very diverse group of women clogging at
three separate levels of difficulty. Beginner
classes start in September and Cloggers may
advance to the next level at their own pace.
Some ladies clog just for the fun and exercise,
while others perform at area nursing homes and
entertainment productions in the area. The
Performers, with ages ranging from 54 to 74,
maintain a vigorous practice schedule and pay
the expense of costumes.

styles are accommodated through the use of Bible
